This half term we are learning about light. Today we looked at how the sunlight changes the colour of the UV beads we took outside. It was actually very cloudy but we still saw how the beads changed from white to a variety of colours. We made sunglasses using different colour ‘lenses’ after looking at a range of materials that could or could not be suitable. Here are some of our sunglasses we made. These are the learning gems we used today.

During healthy eating week this week we tasted different herbs - first by pinching our noses and not having our sense of smell and then by using both our sense of smell and taste. We found that the herbs tasted stronger with both senses. We made a herb salad with lettuce and a dressing to try the different herbs. These are the learning gems we used today.
This half term we are learning about money. We are learning how to add and subtract money this week using methods such as the part whole model and number lines to show our workings. We also used the money from our maths resources to help us. These are the learning gems we used today.
