Again, when the children came into school this morning, Sam elf was a little harder to find, until one of the children looked up to find Sam hanging upside down from the washing line! He has been hanging there for most of the day, watching the children upside down!. We think he must have rather a bit of a headache now!

When the children came into school this morning, they found Sam elf sitting in the biscuit tin! He was covered in crumbs and had eaten all the biscuits and working his way through the very last one!
We are hoping that there are some more biscuits in the cupboard for our afternoon snack! As you may of seen, I decided not to give the children homework this week- there was lots going on with the Nativity, and I feel the children needed a well deserved break! :)
A big well done to all of KS1 for taking part in the Nativity- I think you will agree it, both performances were brilliant, and the children's acting and especially singing was FANTASTIC!
We are super proud of how well the Reception children did too, not just with the final performances, but all their hard work, patience, singing and even just sitting in the lead up to them! Thank-you also to all the staff for their hard work! When the children came into the classroom this morning, they found our classroom elf, Sam, asleep!
Sam had made himself a bed out of our tissue box and was using a tissue as a duvet! We think he was just so tired from all the Nativity practises and watching over the children for Santa. We are hoping he gets some well deserved rest (including the children themselves) over the weekend! Our class Christmas party is on Tuesday 19th December. A food list is now up on the door if you wish to sign up!
Many thanks in advance Sam elf was easier to spot this morning, he was very proudly sitting on the 'Helper of the day' sofa and wearing one of our stickers on his top. As it is usually the job of the helpers of the day to fill in our daily calendar, Sam had also had a try at doing this himself. He had a good try but got a little muddled, so our 'real' helpers of the day helped him out.
Many of you have been asking for a class list of names so that the children can write their Christmas cards. For legal reasons we cannot give out full names, but I have printed off a list of all the children's first names.
Just ask any of the Early years staff if you would like a copy. This morning when the children cam in, it proved to be a little trickier finding Sam, our classroom elf. We hunted high and low, and began to wonder where he was...until one of the children spotted him hiding in the raffle ticket jar! A very mischievous and very flexible Sam, had managed to squeeze himself into the jar and thought he could hide amongst all the raffle tickets....but his smart red suit gave him away....we are just to smart for you Sam!
When the children came into the classroom this morning, they found that all their name-cards had been thrown on the floor!..........and who was behind it?..........yes, it was Sam our class elf!
