We are busy learning all about 'People Who Help Us'. We have already learnt a lot about how our familiy and friends help us. We have also discovered how different people in our school help us.
We are now investigating how people of the 'outside world' help us too, so today we had a visit from Mrs Atkinson. Mrs Atkinson comes into school each term to check we are staying fit & healhty. Many of us have already been weighed and measured and some of us have had our sight and hearing checked.

Mrs Atkinson explained her job was to go to lots of different schools and check that everyone is growing properly. She has lots of different equipment that she has to carry everywhere, which helps her check children's weight, height, sight and hearing. She sometimes also has to check if some people are colour blind.
We all had the chance to use the equipment.
