As part of our topic learning about ceremonies and celebrations we held a class wedding.

We have been working on place value number work. We are learning all about number, Roman Numerals, rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000.  We loved our recent challenge set to help us learn to work in different teams.  In science we built our own digestive system . We acted out all the different parts from the mouth, teeth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and anus. We followed the path of the diestive system and considered the function of each part of the process.
We are loving using TT rock Stars to help us challenge ourselves by learning and applying our Times Tables skills.  We have been writing imaginary characters for our imaginary world fantasy stories. We used our descriptions to draw a picture with words for our partners who had not seen our charcters and tries to draw what we described. It was lots of fun!
We have been building our own eight point compasses in Geography to help understand direction and how to locate different cities on a map. We used the Co-operation Gem to help us work together and build a human compass.  Welcome to our new class and the new academic school year . What an exciting start to the year! In PSHE we are learning to be a great team! We use all our learning Gems each day to tackle all our new learning. In PSHE we have been using yoga to help us relax.
