Goodbye Mandela Class 2017 -2018. We will miss you!

Today saw the last six children perform their poems to the rest of the class. In Mandela Class we are lucky enough to have Mr Harvey work with us to help a different group (each half term) to learn a poem off by heart and recite it to the rest of the class. This is a skill, which is not only part of the Year 6 expectations for reading, but is also a life skill which prepares the children for High School and beyond. It always amazes me how all different types of children respond to the task and the change which occurs in their confidence and ability in just 6 weeks. Well done to the last group who will also be performing a poem for the Leaver's Assembly.
Well done to all the 7 children who have achieved this term's Learning Gem Awards.
It was so difficult to choose as we have all worked so hard on the Learning Gems this term! A great day at the Suffolk Show Games. Our squad came 5th out of 17. Which means that we are the 5th best primary school for swimming in the whole of Suffolk! Well done a great day!! |
