And just like that......it's end of term. Today we have had lots of fun nail painting, playing games, getting glittery tattoos, fun in the wildwood and on the field and party food!
A very strange year for us all...but the children have just smiled their way through it and carried on fantastically. I am so proud of each and every one of them. Have a great summer Year 2 - I am sure I will see you down the corridor in September! Good luck xx Today in our maths, we have been measuring capacity. We compared how full of water different containers were by using vocabulary such as 'a quarter full' 'half full' and 'three-quarters full' We also estimated how many cups of water would fill different containers......before seeing if our estimations were correct!
This afternoon, after interviewing both Mr Childs and Mr Barnard about our missing marble jar, we discussed all the evidence that we had gatherer over the past few days. We then wrote a conclusion to say who we believed had taken our marble jar based on our gathered evidence. Many of us were correct......it was Mr Barnard.
Mr Barnard wrote us a letter explaining that he only took the marble jar to share with the children in Year 1. Mr Barnard also very kindly returned the marble jar to its rightful place in our classroom. Great detective work Year 2! |
