Our next experiment was to make our own crystals using the crystallisation process. We have mixed our crystal compound with water and a rock and we will watch carefully over the next week to see what happens! Watch this space!
In science this week we have continued our learning on rocks and we have made our own sedimentary sandwiches to resemble the formation of sedimentary rocks. Sedimentary rocks are formed when layers of sand, plants, soil, animal remains etc. are squashed together under pressure. We started with a paper plate as the sea bed. Our sedimentary sandwiches helped us to understand the layering process. Our next experiment was to make our own crystals using the crystallisation process. We have mixed our crystal compound with water and a rock and we will watch carefully over the next week to see what happens! Watch this space!
