What marvelous maths!
This morning, we had to collect our name cards from Miss Rushbrooke, and have a go at tracing our finger around each letter. We then had to count how many letters were in our name. Once we had all done that, Miss Rushbrooke asked all the people who had 3 letters in their name to stand up, and then place our names on top of the '3 letters' post-it note. We then did the same for all the people who had 4, 5 and 6 letters in their name and created a bar graph on the carpet. We then had to count up how many names where in each column to see how many children had the most amount of letters in their name. We found out that 9 people had 6 letters in their name. We also had a go at counting the amount of letters in the adults first names. What marvelous maths!
