Today in our maths lesson we had to find different ways to partition a number. First of all we could do it any way we wanted to. But after a little while we had some limits - for example we could only partition the number into 5 different amounts or one our amounts had to be 94. We worked really hard and found lots of different ways. Some of us began to work in an ordered way which meant we could work out lots of different ways very quickly. Some of us used dienes to help us find lots of different ways - it was a lot of fun!

In our history lesson this week the children learnt about a Greek writer called Aesop. They worked in groups to act out some of his fables and the audience then had to work out what they moral of the story was. The following day the children wrote up their own modern versions of Aesop's fables which I hope to include soon on the blog! |
