Today the whole school have been doing Art - all day! In our class we have been studying the artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. We have been examining the strong linear aspects of is artwork as well as his use of colour and perspective. Recreating our own colourful, linear pastel pictures using his style.
We then experimented with Batik. Producing linear pictures using white wax crayon and overpainting with watercolours (the paint resist the wax allowing the shapes to show through). We also used Batik wax to draw shapes on fabric, so we could paint over and create our own wall hangings.
