Well done to our 2 very worthy class winners for the 'Class Values' award and the 'Progress' award. Both great achievements!
So this week saw Year 2's last full week of home learning! Lock down or not my time with them seems to have flown by but we have had some great times together! Although I must say I do feel a little sad that I did not get to spend these past few months with them - it is often towards the end of the school year that we realise just how far they have come.
This week, the children have been busy as usual with their maths, literacy and phonics, but they have also been carrying out science experiments, carrying out some History research into who 'Lincoln' was and what he did and remembering some of their favourite memories they have had in Year 2.
Well done class Lincoln!
Again, we have had another successful week of home learning and I have been so impressed at the pictures, videos and messages the children have been uploading of their work. I cant believe next week is the last full week of 'school'.
This week has seen some great math's and literacy work, some fab phonics and some interesting science experiments! I have also read and listened to some great versions of 'We're going on a Bear Hunt'...in some cases it became a Monster hunt and even an Easter egg hunt!
Well done Lincoln class, you are continuing to make me super proud!
As we move into July and what would be the last few weeks of school.....the fantastic learning from Lincoln class continues and the children are still full of enthusiasm!
This week, there has been lots of maths, literacy and phonics work and some beautiful and very successful science experiment in the form of making rainbows! There has also been lots of photos of the children completing there task - to help water the plants....and in some cases the windows!!
I still continue to be very proud of the children for all the hard work they are doing through these strange times! Well done Lincoln class, you should be proud of yourselves too!
Have a great weekend everyone!
There has been yet more fantastic learning at home from Lincoln class this week! We have been looking at Homophones and Compound words in our Literacy, number and shape patterns in Maths and suffixes and prefixes in our Phonics,
We have used some great adjectives to describe superhero pictures, made some rather yummy things to eat, and even made our very own jam jar musical instruments!
You are doing BRILLIANTLY Lincoln class........keep it up!
Another week has passed and once again, Lincoln children have been producing some great work. Our current topic is 'Superheroes' and I have received some great superhero character descriptions using fantastic adjectives! Some great pictures/designs of superheroes and brilliant 3D models and figurines!
I am SO impressed at how hard the children are continuing to work throughout these very strange times.
Keep it up Lincoln!
This week, the children in Lincoln class have been doing some great work! From fractions in maths and conjunctions in literacy to lots of amazing superhero themed activities.....and even a guest appearance from a new puppy!
I also set the children a challenge this week to create a large rainbow using whatever they could find....and the photos I have been receiving are brilliant. The children have been really creative and imaginative....and have really impressed me!
Well done Lincoln class.....as always, keep up the good work!
Another week of home learning has passed and the children have once again continued to impress me with their fantastic learning, interest and motivation. Lots of the photos make me smile or laugh....but every single onw makes me so proud of them all! They have all adapted to this rather strange and un-nerving situation incredibly well! So a huge pat on the back for all of them!
Enjoy a well deserved half term break...but stay safe!
Well, another week of home learning has passed and the brilliant work produced by the children continues!
There has been some super maths and literacy work, reading, super results on out class quiz, playing 'shops' and lots of gardening.
I really enjoying seeing the brilliant work completed and great activities the children have been up to!
Keep it up Year 2, and stay safe!
Once again, I have been super impressed by the children's learning at home this week, and I have been sent some great photos!
