Our topic for Summer term 1 is gardening. As part of our science lessons we have been exploring what conditions are essential for seeds to germinate. We created our own experiments to test if seeds needed air, warmth or light to help them to germinate. The results were surprising. Some seeds in the dark germinated very quickly and the seeds in the air and light did not! (We think it had something to do with Miss Thurlow's poor gardening skills!).
