Today is at another busy one before we go home: games, Shelter Building, lunch and finally It's a Knockout. Thanks to all the staff and, most of all, the children, for being: amazing, brave, positive and great fun to be with.

Tonight (as it's our last night *sob*) we had a talent show (very good fun!!). Afterwards some people went and had a bonfire, while others watched the football (yawn!).

Now is the perfect time to say a huge thank you to Mrs Matthews and Mr Childs for leading a superb school residential.

I know teachers get paid but taking children on a residential, and taking responsibility for other people's children is a huge task. The day never ends... and even when the kids have all gone off to sleep you never really sleep because you re listening out to see if someone wakes up and might need you. When you sign up to be a teacher, you do it knowing that at 3.30, generally the children go home! On a residential they are yours all of the time. 

The blog! Thank you for the blog! The time and energy that has gone into it has been fantastic and I've received really really positive comments about it.

So... to finish!  Thank you Mrs Matthews and Mr Childs for offering to go along and make this a memorable week for the children at Trimley St Martin!

And... Well done to the pupils who managed to survive the week away from home. I ve heard nothing but great things about your behaviour and the ways in which you ve supported and encouraged each other during the week.

Mr Stock

Another busy afternoon! Group One have been Crate Stacking and doing the Big Swing.

Group Two have been on the Zip Wire and then went Crate Stacking.

Even more sleepy children and teachers to be dragged out of bed this morning! Group One were doing the Zip Slide.................................arrggghhh

Group Two went on the big swing, from a 7m platform and a 10m platform. Check out the acrobatics!

Tonight we had a scavenger hunt and sang songs around the bonfire. Afterwards we made smores. Yum!

Group One have been Caving and Climbing this afternoon.

Group Two have been Raft Building and climbing.

Not sure who had more fun, Mr Childs or the children!

Lots of snoozy children this morning. Mrs Matthews and Mr Childs had to wake up quite a few children for breakfast at eight! All these activities are exhausting! Despite being sleepy, we have lots of happy children :-) looking forward to a day full of more exciting activities. Group One have spent the morning kayak building - lots of fun and a chance to get wet!

Group Two have spent the morning caving - quite wet, but very dark!
