We are so excited that choir is back! We can't wait to see what we get up to this term. Watch our bog for more info.
I am very excited to announce that choir will be starting again on Tuesday 24th January. We have lots of exciting songs to learn - from a wide variety of genres.
Letters will be sent home this week.

Choir shall be taking a short break and will begin again later in January. Watch this space for exciting news of our next venture!
On Sunday 18th December, a few of the choir members sang in the local community at the Kirton Carol Service. Two of the children opened the service by singing the first verse of Once in Royal David's City. During the service, they sang Away in a Manger and Do You Hear What I Hear.
What an amazing concert we had last night (Saturday December 10th) with 41 of our children singing at Kirton Church Hall with the Ipswich Gilbert & Sullivan Society. This is the children's first performance in front of an audience and they did this to a packed hall. Having opened the concert with two soloists singing Once in Royal David's City, the children sang Walking in the Air, Away in a Manger and While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks. After enjoying lots of cake, in the second half the children then sang Do You Hear What I Hear, Jingle Bells, Winter Wonderland and Rocking Around The Christmas Tree. The children finished the concert off by joining the G&S choir to sing O Come All Ye Faithfull and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The children thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We can't wait to sing again at Kirton Church on the 18th December - this time with a smaller choir as we cannot accommodate the whole choir in the church.
What a brilliant last choir practise of the year we had last night, when Lisa, our accompanist played for us. This is the first time the children practised with the piano accompaniment and they sounded amazing. We can't wait for our concert on Saturday at Kirton Church Hall.
The children also got to meet Sue, the Musical Director for the Ipswich Gilbert & Sullivan Society who gave them some helpful tips on not being too nervous for Saturday's performance at Kirton Church Hall.
Rehearsals are underway for Trimley St Martin's first Christmas Concert in conjunction with a local choir - the Ipswich Gilbert & Sullivan Society.
Join Mrs Cockerill and Mrs Hammond to rehearse after school every Tuesday 3.30 - 4.30 in the hall.
Please note that the choir is very full - with over 40 children - and we are unable to accept any new people joining.
I am absolutely passionate about singing and want to encourage the children at Trimley St Martin to explore singing a range of music, whilst giving them performance opportunities within the school and the local community.
