Today, all across the country, school children were chosen to remember soldiers from their local parishes and take part in a service similar to those taking place on Sunday 11th November, celebrating 100 years since the end of WW1 and remembering all those who gave their lives in war for this country. Our Masterclass group were chosen for the ceremony at Kirton Church. We found out about local people who died in WW1 and placed crosses on their graves. We also heard poems and recited poetry together in the church. It was a solemn, but enlightening morning.
