This morning we made our own placemats and hats to get us in the spirit for our Christmas lunch in the hall. We had lots of fun and a very yummy dinner!

We had a lovely day at the zoo, meeting the penguins and Father Christmas who even gave us a fluffy penguin of our own. We then had time to explore the rest of the zoo. We saw the Tigers, Sun Bears, Elephants, Rhinos, Giraffes, Monkeys, Chimpanzee's, Crocodiles, Otters and lots more!
The children were very well behaved both around the zoo and on the coach! A big thank you to our parents who helped! Have a look at some of our photos from the day..... In our Science lesson this afternoon, we have been learning about our sense of hearing.
We played a game in which Mrs Tubby played different sounds on the computer and we had to write down on our whiteboards what we though the sound was. We heard a police siren, a lion oar, lightning, kittens meowing, church bells, an aeroplane, Santa's sleigh, a rainstorm, a bird singing and many more....in fact we enjoyed the game so much we wanted to keep on playing! Good listening skills Year 1! |
