We have also been thinking about ‘Tefillah ’or prayer in Judaism and how Jewish people would visit the synagogue to pray to their God and learn more about their religion.
We got to learn about how Jewish people like to help others and those in need and how they use a Tzedakah box to help and give to others. We designed our own boxes and thought about what good, charitable things we can do today. We even had a go at writing the word tzedakah in Hebrew on our box designs. We thought about a time where Jewish people give thanks and have a 2 week period of Sukkot Sukkot were the huts in which the Jewish people lived during their years in the desert after they left slavery in Egypt and before they arrived in the Promised Land (Israel). We then designed our own Sukkahs.
