We had an exciting literacy lesson on Monday when Mr Southerwood rang to tell us he had found a box on the field which had Samuel Pepys name on. He thought we may like to see it as we have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We found the box buried under some leaves and took it back to the classroom to find out what was inside. The children were excited to find some cheese and wine! We tasted the cheese while we continued our learning about Samuel Pepys.
As we continue our learning on The Great Fire of London we begin to look at the houses and how they were built. In DT we have had a go at recreating a Tudor house. The children carefully constructed, cut, joined and decorated them, thinking about the wooden beams. Elissa is really loving learning about this topic. She was so excited that they found the box today. It's so lovely to see her so engaged in her learning. Well done
