In our RE lessons we have been looking at Judiasm. We have been learning all about Mezuzahs, which are small scrolls that contain the Hebrew words of the Shema. These are rolled up and put into a casing which is then fixed on the door frame to Jewish homes, reminding the families of the promises they follow and have made to their lord.
In todays lesson, we made our own Mezuzahs. On our 'scrolls' we wrote or drew pictures about something or someone who was special to us. We then cut these out and rolled them up as a scroll before securing them into their case. Some of us said that we would like to put them on our bedroom door frames.
Lovely work Year 2!
