Every Thursday someone gets a turn to cook in our fab kitchen !!! They select a recipe and cook for the whole class !!!! This week Beth's mum helped supervise two master chefs who produced 'Mary Berry' standard watering cheese scones !!!!!

This week in science we have been doing some fab experiments all about friction. we tested out our moving vehicles changing the type of surface. My group tested varies surfaces and discover the vehicle travelled the fastest on the smooth and silky surface due to less friction. As part of interest club we have had the fantastic opportunity to teach other classes some of the things we have been researching. Group 1 opened with an assembly informing the rest of the school all about our research. then this week has seen Edward Matthew's teaching a informative lesson of Literacy to Year 2 all about complex sentences. " I really the challenge of teaching Year 2. They are extremely good at literacy and should now all b e able to use complex sentences in their writing. " Edward. " I Found teaching Year 1 really enjoyable ! they were all very good at improving sentences. All of them left with the knowledge of using adjectives and sentences to improve sentences" Oscar Barlow class were practising perimeter measuring out on the playground. Going out on the playground really helped us understand perimeter. It was really good fun doing it. This week in Barlow we have been doing traditional stories in Literacy so far. We have been doing the Elves and the Shoemaker, Jack and the Beanstalk.
ON THE 15 JUNE 2015 WE ARE GOING TO THORPEWOODLANDS AND WE HAVE SIGNED UP FOR IT!! (YEY) WE ARE REALLY EXCITED AND ARE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN. THERES GOING TO BE SO MUCH TO DO AND LOTS TO SEE MOST PEOPLE IN ARE CLASS ARE GOING AND ITS ARE FIRST TIME GOING AS A CLASS WE ARE SO LUCKY!!!
