We have today begun our new geography unit on journeys. This children explored where their school uniform and things from the school kitchen come from. The children used the atlases to find the countries and labelled them on their own maps.

Congratulations to our winners of our Learning Gems for the Spring term. Also, well done to our reading and maths raffle winners too!   In science we have begun to learn about materials. Today, the children looked at different four types of wood and considered which was the best for flooring according to how hard it was. They looked at different materials and which could soak up liquid the best. The children looked at some different balls, measured the circumference, worked out the material it was made from and then tested to see which which one was the bounciest. They also had a range of materials that they had to consider what they were and what they were used for. Finally, we did test to see which packaged protected a meringue nest the best.
