Wow! We had some amazing designs and some fabulous ideas and after a day of staff voting for their favourite, we have a combination of winners! Do you recognise your design? Our winners will be announced to the school along with their prizes next week in assembly. Our next task is to put all the ideas into one design and send it off to Elmer HQ. Why we chose these designs..... we thought.... 1. The books/library represents learning and a wealth of knowledge 2. The name of every child and adult within the school represents our whole community 3. The earth, sun, fire and water represents team work and celebration of our successes 4. The values of our school represents everything TSM stands for... We have the power to be....... SO WHAT WILL OUR ELMER BE CALLED? Have a look at the designs........... Think about why they were chosen.... CAN YOU THINK OF A GOOD NAME? Complete the form below for your chance to name our Elmer and win yourself a prize to be presented in assembly next week..... Competition finishes Friday 1st Feb 2019
Walk into my office.....ONLY to find this......Does this elephant not know who I am?........ Who's office they are in?...... THE CHEEK OF IT!!!!!!!!!! We have had an amazing response to the design Elmer competition...We now have the extremely hard job in deciding which one or combination of designs will win and be actually painted onto our very own Elmer.
Winner(s) will be announced on Tuesday 29th January with a live on-line name the elephant competition........ Year 1 strutting their stuff as they demonstrate the dance learnt in PE with Mr Childs. With the help of Mr Nicholls, Elmer our Elephant arrived safely at Trimley St Martin..... A visit to the secret warehouse in Ipswich, Elmer was carefully lifted into the back of the car for it's travels to TSM. So whet next.......Children will be coming home with a letter and a template for our design competition.
All designs need to be returned by Friday 25th January...Sorry no late entries! The winning design or designs will be used to paint our Elmer before it goes off to join the herd around Ipswich as part of Elmer's Big Parade Suffolk. Winning designs will of course receive their very own secret prizes!!! Remember all this fun is for a good cause. All sponsor/non-school uniform day monies made throughout the year will be added to our St Elizabeth's Hospice fund.... So far we have raised just over £300... Reports will be coming home Friday 17th. We have made a few adjustments and have added an explanation sheet, which we hope will help understand attainment and progress and what it means for your child.
