Well done to our 3 teams of runners, who together won the Felixstowe School Cross Country event.  A first in the Boys and Girls race!  Super proud of every runner, who gave their best, not only in their own race, but also in the way everyone cheered and supported each other on. WELL DONE!  What is Felixstowe Prom junior parkrun? It is a free 2k event for juniors only (4-14 year olds). When is it? It is held every Sunday at 9:00am. Where is it? The event takes place at Felixstowe Prom (behind the Leisure Centre), Undercliff Road West, Felixstowe, IP11 2AE. What does it cost to join in? Nothing - it's free! but please register before your first visit. You only ever register with parkrun once. Don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode. How fast do I have to be? The aim is to have fun. Go along and join in whatever your pace! Children can walk, jog, skip or run the course and adults are welcome to accompany them too. The course is well marshalled and there is a tailwalker following the last child so no one is left behind. It's less than a week to the National Great British Beach Clean weekend. Our local event is at Trimley Marshes on Saturday 21st September, from 10am to 4pm, with a minibus shuttle service to take helpers to and from the riverside. If you want to help fight the war against plastic pollution in our local waters, get yourself down to the river and support the Trimley Marshes and the Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
