Today, the children enjoyed a trip to the farm shop. The children looked at where the products are imported from and that some products are from England. The children also looked at locally sourced products, such as cakes and honey and considered whether locally sourced products are better value for money.
Whilst enjoying an ice-cream outside the farm shop, we discussed local produce and how this is not farmed so intensively and the factories for making local produce are usually on a smaller scale. This makes it difficult for the products to be priced at a similar price, for example compared to a supermarket.
The children were wonderfully behaved today and were so thoughtful to the staff and customers at the farm shop.
We used the adventurous gems today.
