Force is the push and pull on an object.
They began with discussions about gravity and what this means. They learnt that the gravitational pull of a greater celestial body keeps smaller planets trapped in the 'pull'. The Moon, being a smaller celestial body is kept within the Earth's gravitational pull and that everything stays on the Earth due to gravity as well. The children explored weights of objects in Newtons, using force meters and discovered that rain doesn't always fall straight down - as you might think it does - but instead is pulled to the Earth by its gravitational pull.
The children used the cooperation and adventurous gems today.
