Selected children from Year 3 - 6 attended today's Felixstowe Area Sports Day. MrsMatthews, Mrs MacFarlane, Mrs Campbell, Mrs Rowe and Mrs Calver escorted the team with myself to Trimley St Mary Primary School.
Pupils set a superb example. They cheered on everyone and supported their team mates with pride. The behaviour was excellent and the school modelled some outstanding examples of sportsmanship. They looked like a real team in their TSM kit and the white and royal blue made us really stand out!
As for the events, TSM children were fantastic! There was some real stand out performances, Greta and Owen were amazing in the running races and Zack stormed home in first in his race. There were so many great examples that its difficult to cover them all... really pleased with Caitlin who was so focused throughout the race that she was catching up and overtaking all the children right up until that finish line - it paid off ... never give up!
These events fill me with nothing but pride. The children did themselves proud today and their school! They knew that every single point mattered and that everyone contributed to the school's success.
As the smallest school at the event, I think we gave everyone a run for their money! In fact we are a third of the size of the school that won... and we werent that far behind them! To finish SECOND is AMAZING!
