One of the biggest drawbacks of the staggered opening vs the old method of lining up in the playground is the ability for parents to have informal discussions with parents, passing on messages etc. Although, you are allowed to pop in and speak to class teachers if you need to pass on a more urgent message there is still a need for you ......
Each day a different member of staff will be opening the gate. Each staff member on duty is responsible for a particular area within school, so if you have any informal questions to ask you can approach them in the morning to discuss.
Monday - Mrs MacFarlane Maths Leader
Tuesday - Mrs Matthews Literacy Leader
Wednesday - Mrs Ross EYFS Leader & Assistant Head Teacher
Thursday - Mrs Lawrence SEN Administrator
Friday - Mr Stock
The person opening the gate will also be able to...
(a) Take notes of siblings who are off school sick
(b) Pass any messages to the class teachers
(c) Investigate any issues that you raise that may be of concern
Mr Stock is available to speak to you if the matter is urgent however, a lot of issues can and should be solved by the teaching staff on the gate, or in the playground at the end of the day.
Teaching staff will elevate issues to Mr Stock if they cannot be dealt with by themselves.
