There were some outstanding individual performances from our swimmers but as always we were an amazing team; supporting each other, cheering each other on and being positive throughout.
As we won round 1, we will now go on to represent Felixstowe Schools in the area competition at Bury St Edmunds in July.
The team of adults that went along to support (myself, Mrs Matthews, Mr Child's and Mrs Tranter) were so proud of Team Trimley. We are one of the smallest schools in Felixstowe and yet we can compete with the biggest.
As you may remember, when I was growing up swimming was my sport! I devoted my life to it from the age of 5 up into my early twenties. Today, reminded me why I love the sport! The buzz was amazing and it brought back wonderful memories for me. I was praying for a Headteachers race - but no such luck! : )
This event was designed to ensure that all children (whatever level of swimmer they were) were able to compete. I'm doubly proud as Mrs Ross was the person who runs and organises this competition every year; it ran like clockwork, everyone had the chance to compete and the comments from the schools were extremely positive about how well coordinated and organised it was. Thank you Mrs Ross!
So... another trophy to add to the Parlauf Relay Shield that we won earlier on in the year! Hurrah! Well done everyone!
