![]() This year the children were set the challenge of filling 7 one metre squares on the school hall floor with non-perishable items - all of which will be collected and take to the local food bank. All of the classes were able to bring enough items to completely swamp their squares. I, Mr Stock, had promised that if all 7 squares were full then I would sing 'Harvest for the World'. However, YouTube decided not to work and I had to perform a different song instead. And so... the children were 'treated' to a wonderful rendition of a classic school song (in my Dagenham accent!). Children winced/applauded me when I aimed for the high notes and some, at that point, wished that perhaps they had left the tins in the cupboard at home! I did have video footage and audio from today's assembly, but due to copyright (and pride!) I am unable to share them. However, today had one clear aim and that was to give plenty of food to help out our local food bank and that is what we did! Well done everyone! Thank you for bringing in so much food for such a worthy cause. Comments are closed.
