We advertised this in the previous newsletter but just in case >>> The Annual World Book Day returns on March 5th and this year we have asked the children what they wanted to do to mark the occasion. You may remember that last year the school decided to allow pupils to dress up potatoes as their favourite book characters. This was mainly to reduce the burden of parents having to locate outfits and costumes etc which can be time consuming and sometime costly but also to change things a bit, to get out of the cycle of "Well... we've always done it this way....!"
This year, the children have indicated that they would like to dress up a favourite book character again. So, we thought it would be wise to give you advance notice of this. Now, as with other dressing up days - don't drive yourself round the bend with it! Do what you can! Remember the default option is to send child into school with non uniform! (There must be a book out there that has a child in it that wears everyday clothes - they can all be wizards and witches!).

As before the school will distribute the World Book Day vouchers which can be used in any good book store. These will be handed out on the day of the event.
