Today, the children had to fix Mrs Turner's mistake! She had accidentally cut an explanation text up. I needed the class to put them back together for me, so the text made sense once again. Each group carefully read through the paragraphs and decided on the order of them. After this, they prepared a presentation to explain what made them order it that way, most groups had noticed the adverbials which showed time.

The children created their own models to show how the greenhouse effect works in geography today. Over the past few weeks, in PSHE, the children have been learning about the importance of washing their hands. First they learnt the best way to wash their hands, which involves singing Happy Birthday to yourself! Then we set up a class experiment to see if hand washing really got rid of bacteria. We had 2 slices of bread. On 1, someone put their dirty handprint on to it (with mud included), that same person then washed their hand and put their now clean hand on to the second slice. Then we left it. For a few days nothing happened. But then..... We found that the bread with the dirty hand print on grew lots of mould, the bread with the well washed hand only grew a little bit of mould, mainly where the damp cloth had been sitting on it!
