We spent quite a lot of time outside this morning, first we went swimming and then we went on to the playground to practice working out perimeters.

Thank you so much to Year 2 and Miss Thurlow for letting us share the books we had made in DT with them. Our task was to create a book that was suitable for KS1 children and from the responses each of the groups got it looked like they had certainly completed their task! There were some very honest opinions which we really appreciated as it helped us during the evaluation of our books to decide what we had done well and also what we could improve on. We spent another afternoon on our moving books today. The children worked brilliantly working out how to solve the problems they were facing as they put their mechanisms into their books and found that sometimes they didn't work! By the end of the afternoon most groups had finished their books and managed to attach their pages together. The class have produced some well thought out books which I hope KS1 will enjoy reading soon. During our literacy lesson this morning we became detectives, looking at a sentence and spotting the incorrect verb in it.
