The Summer Term is here and we are learning new topics. Mathematics continues to move fast with a week recently on data handling and presenting data in the form of bar charts, line graphs and pie charts. This week has seen new work on decimals and fractions including a rainbow day where skittles were used to work out fractions , decimals and the challenge of ratios.
A fun no pen day has found us pond dipping and bug hunting with interesting results. We then explained what we found related to life cycles. We look forward to watching our tadpoles grow. Art work on the work of Georgia O'Keeffe drawing flowers and their growing parts relates to our science work.
Tuesday was our fun Commonwealth Games day with a focus on Geography. We chose Scotland, the host nation to learn all about and parade their flag to a well known tune. Many Thanks to everyone who wore a kilt and sampled our shortbread and homemade tablet.
Happy Half Term next week and then back to interesting Topics with lots to learn and enjoy.
