We had such a hectic day today painting the shields from Maritime Transport Ltd for the Trimley Carnival. The children had already looked at photographs of Maritime Transport lorries and designed their shields but we had a huge task ahead of us, making them good enough to be put on display around the Trimley villages. Luckily, the class were up for the challenge and worked so well with their partner on a shield that the results, as you'll hopefully all agree, were amazing.

What a fantastic end to such a busy week. This afternoon the children were shown how to make 2 linkages and levers which they might use when they design and make a storybook later on this half term. They all listened and followed the instructions really well, producing some great moving parts. The second linkage was quite complicated but it was lovely to see the children helping each other out and others persevering until the linkage moved as they wanted it to. Well done Pendleton - I hope you're all looking forward to making 2 more next week! |
