Today, we looked at flowers and used the images of Georgia O'Keeffe as inspiration to paint. We 'thought big', trying to make sure our paintings touched the edge of each side of the paper.

It all got a little messy in the classroom this afternoon as we sent some crackers and bananas down our own version of the digestive system ;)
Today, in science, the children started to learn about the different parts of the digestive system. First, they labelled where they thought the main parts were and then discovered where they actually were! They then began to investigate what each of the digestive parts actually do. They found out some very interesting facts.
This afternoon we spent some time looking at each other's maths homework. Thankyou so much to parents for supporting your children with their homework this week, it was so lovely to see what they have understood from their maths lessons so far this year, presented in such a wide variety of interesting and colourful ways. We had posters and powerpoint presentations to look at and the children made such a good audience as individuals presented their work to the class. This morning we visited Saxmundham Free School for a Day of the Dead experience. The children took part in drama, art, music, DT and cooking activities all related to the Mexican celebration. They had a fantastic time.
