Wow!
Well what can I say? As we move through the second week of 'home schooling' I am so pleased and so proud of the work my children are completing. I am blown away by the interesting facts they have been finding and exciting ways that they have been presenting their work. Most importantly they have been sharing with me the ways they are taking care of their well being as well- lots of walks, baking, new crafts. I miss them lots but with Seesaw we are never far apart. Here is a selection of the past weeks working and other activities. So we are now on the second day of homeschooling for most children.
I am so pleased to show you the kinds of things my wonderful class have been up to. They have been given a grid with a variety of activities they can pick and choose to work through. Its so nice to see them adding their own uniqueness to their work. I chose the subject Rainforest to base all their work around to make it as varied and exciting as I could for the children in my class. On Thursday we were lucky enough to have a Maths teacher from Felixstowe Academy come in to do a roadshow with us.
This involved lots of problems solving work with a partner, the children were very resilient and didn't give up whilst doing the activities. Lots of logical thinking and ordering took place to solve puzzles and problems of varying kinds. As part of our Science this term, we are learning all about our teeth and our digestive system. We have been lucky enough to have a visit from the dentist to explain exactly what is going on inside our mouths and why the food we eat is closely linked to our teeth and not just nutrition.
