What a fabulous end to the week! This morning Pendleton were visited by a local archaeologist who shared lots of his knowledge about finding 'stuff' in the ground.
I wonder what the class can still remember...you could add a comment to this blog to answer these questions or just amaze mums and dads with the answers:
1. Why do archaeologists like to find gold?
2. If one of the trowels we used was buried and then found in the ground years later, would it still look the same?
3. What was an amphora used for?
4. What 3 groups did we need to sort our finds into?
5. If we found a pig or other animal bone when we were digging what could we infer (work out)?
