This afternoon, after reminding ourselves of what pronouns were, we wrote about what we had done this morning, trying to include a mix of nouns and pronouns.
Here are extracts of some of the pieces of work we did:
You'll never guess what? Today we went to the best place ever which is Maritime HQ. We learnt tons. I'd like to share some facts. They had approximately 1000 trucks, each truck costs £75,000. Altogether they would cost 75 million pounds. I found out the cab of the truck weighed 6 and a half tonnes. The man told us, including the container and the cab, it weighed 44 tonnes. By Luke.
I have had a great day at Maritime. Lucy showed us all around Maritime Transport. I saw beautiful lights hanging like stars all the way up to the whole tower. The best part was when we asked Lucy questions inside the truck. There are beds, microwaves, fridges and a lower seat. I never knew you could fit it all into a Maritime truck. By Katelyn.
Another fact is they have 1000 lorries. Each one costs £75,000. Altogether they cost £75,000,000. Inside the lorries there is a sat nav. There is another one connected to their phone, so they can text or phone by speaking. Also, they have a microwave, fridge and bed, so they could receive lots of comfort on their journeys. Unfortunately the drivers can't stop on the lay bys to go to sleep, because Maritime don't allow it. If the drivers have driven for 4 hours they would have to stop for 45 minutes. By Harvey.
We met someone named Lucy. She showed us around the building. Her job was telling people about their company. She spreads the word on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many more. We saw a man through a window and his name was Dave. He had a computer to track down the lorries and to make sure they are going the right way to their destinations. By Alphonsine.
