This week we had even more to fit in than usual! On Wednesday we spent a day working on our DT topic - electronic games. The class started by recording some of the games they knew that used electric circuits and then designed and made their own games. They used the skills they had learnt from their science lessons to make successful circuits and the knowledge from their geography topic to come up with the question and answers. They also learnt how to use wire strippers to strip back their wire and glue guns to keep everything in place on the back of their game boards. They worked so hard that most of the games have been completed, the only thing we haven't got around to yet is actually playing them! On Thursday we watched the story of Ramayana and then retold it using the main characters. Evie did a fantastic job of retelling the story whilst the rest of her group moved the characters around their set. Finally, on Friday afternoon, the children completed their topic on Europe and Catalonia by recreating some of the tourist attractions in Barcelona. They did an amazing job and some even used the electrical circuits to add lights to their attractions. Miss Winton, who has recently been to Barcelona, was particularly impressed as she recognised the attractions she had visited whilst there! They also made a leaflet to go along with their attraction and were able to share some fact with their visitors.
