We have been using various malleable materials along with cocktail sticks and straws to build the strongest structures we could make both in school and at home.
Today we have been practising our multiplications, especially counting in 4's. We have worked together to make arrays showing the answer to our multiplication questions.
Today the children enjoyed time outside in Wildwood working together as a team to build a den structure and helping each other on the rope swings and hammocks.
During STEM this week the children made marble mazes both at home and in school, using paper plates and straws or other similar items that they could find. Here are some of the examples of their creations.
On Friday during our STEM lesson we had a go at making a paper horse 'walk' down a slope. Using a template we cut and folded our horses, trying out different slope surfaces for each one to walk down. Our friends at home made some of theirs walk too.
Today we have started our new topic about Paddington Bear and bears. We have started to read our new text and in our Art lesson we have drawn pictures of bears hibernating. Our friends have joined us at home, listening to the text read by our teacher and joining in our Art lesson too.
