We are currently learning all about fractions in this unit of our maths. We have been comparing equivalent fractions and here are some that we have made.

In Geography we have been learning about the world. We have been looking at globes and Atlases to find countries around the world. Through this we have learnt about the Equator, Longitude and Latitude ! We have made our own globes, using balloons and paper, so that we can create our own world, with fictional countries and we made sure that we included the Equator around our globes.  To continue with our topic of plants this half term, we have been planting sunflower seeds for us to look after and to see how they will grow. We have also planted cress seeds in compost, sand and cotton wool to see the difference in the growing conditions. Today we came to school in our comfy clothes with books to share with our friends. We did lots of different activities looking at books, designing our own book covers, characters and bookmarks. We had a scavenger hunt to find different items in our books and acted out stories to our friends. |
