We really enjoyed making these and worked really well in pairs, showing good team work skills.
For our final project in History, we made a Stone Age model in a box! We painted a river and created cave paintings on the walls. We made a cave and a bush out of scrunched up paper, and we made a campfire using paper and small pebbles. We really enjoyed making these and worked really well in pairs, showing good team work skills.

In English we have been writing instructions, using imperative verbs, prepositions and adverbs for time. This week we created our final pieces of rewriting the story ‘How to wash a woolly mammoth’ and made double page spreads. The children worked really hard on their handwriting and presentation and I am very pleased with the finished pieces! GOOD USE OF THESE LEARNING GEMS:In maths we have been looking at adding and subtracting 1s, 10s and 100s. The children have been working independently and choosing appropriate manipulatives to help them. GOOD USE OF THESE LEARNING GEMS:In our Art lessons we have been reading 'The Hippocrump' poem and creating what we think the Hippocrump looks like in oil pastel. We have then improved our work by painting over the oil pastel with watercolour paint. Our two 'Artists of the Week' are Kaitlyn and Madison for showing that they have listened to the poem, and for creating some beautiful textures with the oil pastels and watercolours. These two pieces have gone up on display outside the classroom for the rest of the school to see. Super work! GOOD USE OF THESE LEARNING GEMS:In Science we have been looking at rocks, and this week we explored what a fossil was and the process of creating a fossil. We then had a go at making our own fossils!
