The children were set a science task to see if they could make an egg (or tomato in one case!) float, to help understand why people can float in the Red Sea. I was pleased to see the children's write-up of their experiment as well as the pictures to show what happened!

The children have been given tasks to do every day, using the knowledge and skills they learnt in year 3 before having to work from home. They have also been doing their own learning, practising things they have found difficult in the past. :)
Having to learn at home isn't going to stop our class from exploring our new topic - Egypt. Here is just a selection of some of the work we have seen so far. We may not be in the classroom together but the children all still seem to be working hard at home with literacy and maths tasks. At the end of last week, I set the class a challenge to build something with only 30 Lego bricks. It took me and my family much deliberation to come to our final decision but here are our choices! |
