Today, we finished our 3D art unit by working with clay. We had drawn pictures of fruit in our sketchbooks a number of weeks ago. We then used a viewfinder to focus on a part of our fruit drawings that we would recreate on a clay tile. One thing we had to do was to add clay of another colour as well. Once the children had completed their tiles they then make a pinch pot from a new piece of clay and began to decorate these using their fruit drawings.

Today was Mrs Matthews' Reading Raffle assembly - there are many books to win, if you read 5 times a week! Our Y3 winner was very pleased with his choice.
We started off our new science topic by checking what we had remembered from KS1. After watching some short videos, we went into the hall to put animals into groups according to the type of food they ate (meat, plants or both). The children had a 'riot' charging from the centre of the hall back to their base to collect and place the animals. Great knowledge already Branson class. |
