This first photo shows the children investigating whether a bigger magnet has a greater force. The whole class were very keen to record the results accurately, looking carefully at the height the magnet got to when it attracted the paper clip off the floor and repeating the test if they didn't think they had checked carefully enough.
Over the past few weeks the children have been investigating magnets, here is just a few photos to show some of the work they have done.

This next photo is an example of the 3 part conclusion the children wrote to show what they had found out from the investigation above.
After this investigation the children then looked at some other questions about magnets. The photo below shows how coins were sorted to help answer the question, 'Are all coins magnetic?'
