Ipswich Museum Egyptian Trip

What a great day! Today we took a trip through Ancient Egypt looking at ancient artefacts,  Gods and Mummies! The children had a great day learning more about our topic this term and were able to role play Egyptians living. We started the morning by creating a timeline, placing the Egyptians, Romans, Victorians and 2018. We then got to tour the museum completing Egyptian drawings, climbing through a tunnel to the tomb, finding out lots of facts and finding answers to questions around the displays. We then had a session with our tour leader Wendy, we got to hold lots of old Egyptian artefacts thinking about what they were and how they were used. Some of us got to wear Egyptian God headdresses! 
In the afternoon after the long awaited lunch we made our own amulets and Shabtai's using clay and got to look around the rest of the museum. To finish the day we each got to visit the gift shop and buy a little something thinking about how much money we had, what we could buy and getting change.
