Our brief was to see which of the different types of digestive biscuits we had - plain, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and chocolate chip digestives were the best and the worst dunkers. The children drew labelled diagrams in their science books and recorded their findings. They dunked the biscuits vertically into the tea for 2 seconds and then held the biscuit horizontally before seeing if they were able to be dunked again. They enjoyed finding out that the plain digestive became soggy and broke after only 2 or 3 dunks and the dark chocolate digestive took around 14 dunks before it broke. Luckily there were biscuits left over for all the children to sample at the end!
