Today we made fruit kebabs 😄 The children chose which fruit they wanted to use and cut it by themselves. Next, they had to put the fruit onto the kebab sticks- being careful not to stab their hands! Finally, they drizzled melted chocolate onto the fruit kebabs. Then Mrs Lawrence put them in the fridge to set. 😋 We hope everyone enjoys them!

The children created potions using herbs, flowers, leaves, fruit and water. They discussed what their potions could do and then wrote instructions how to make the potions.  Great use of the creativity learning gem
This week the class worked in small groups with Miss Holliman to create these chewy cereal bars. The children had to measure and stir the ingredients. Miss Holliman melted the syrup and the children had to be careful as it was very hot. They then pressed the mixture into a tin and left it to set in the fridge. Some children enjoyed their cereal bar for snack and others took theirs home to share with their families. Last week, in the Wild Wood the children were so excited to spot five frogs! We have continued to follow their interest of frogs by looking into the life cycle of a frog. We had a lovely afternoon in the Early Years garden playing with water. Some children decided to water plants, others played with our water wall. Some decided to make pathways on the pavement, some made hot chocolate and other yummy treats in the mud kitchen and one child "moped" the ground. It was wonderful to see the children exploring and using their imaginations. Well done Donaldson Class. Today the children used ten frames and counters to explore making 9 and 10 using 2 or 3 numbers. Super exploration everyone! 😁 |
