To bring home our Christmas cakes, cards and prezzies! We have made our very own snowman bags. Each bag was made by following instructions given by Mrs Ross.
Did I do a good job? Are the circles ordered from the top to the bottom- smallest, middle-sized and largest? Are there two eyes and three buttons? Is the scarf under the snowman's chin? Is there a black mouth and an orange nose? A big thank you to all the mums and grandmas, who came this afternoon to help make lots of Christmas creations. We had lots of fun making reindeer, snowmen, penguins, angels, cards, tags and much much more! Don't forget you can buy these wonderful Christmas crafts at the Christmas Enterprise Afternoon on Thursday.
Bring your pennies for lots of craft and games & lots more! Today we got ourselves ready for the Christmas craft afternoon. We painted pine cones black, ready to make penguins. Miss Reynolds helped us to paint our hands white and print our hand print onto red baubles, ready to make snowmen tree decorations. Lastly we decorated name mats, so we knew where to store all our creations.
A huge thank you to Pastor Wilson who came in today to tell us the story of Christmas and it's true meaning to so many Christians around the world.
To finish off our topic of Traditional Tales, our friend Paul from Tesco came to visit to tell us all about 'Gingerbread'. Just like in our story- The Gingerbread Man'. Using the information sheet and map given to us by Paul, we found out that gingerbread first came to Europe when a monk brought it to France. We now know ginger is grown all over the world. We got to smell some root ginger and taste some stem ginger. We discovered it is quite hot and spicy!!! Then we made our very own Gingerbread Man. Educational & Yummy!! Thank You Paul. See you Easter time.
