Our friend Paul from Tesco visited today, to tell us all about the history and meaning of the Easter egg. Did you know? The first modern Easter eggs were made in France & Germany in the 1800s The First eggs were made with dark chocolate The first decorated eggs were decorated with marzipan Chocolate was never might to be eaten but smoked An original Faberge egg would cost you about 5 million pounds. Tesco Martlesham along sold over 15,000 Easter eggs!! Thank You Paul
The next time we will see Paul will be at Tesco Martlesham. We have booked a visit to go to Tesco and find out how food gets from the farm to the shops and then to our homes. A letter will be sent out shortly. Our first day back and a very busy day of learning already!!!! Handwriting, Maths, Phonics, Literacy, Reading, Basic Skills Quiz and Story Time!!
